Skip Up is Paul Duffield & Dominic Blaszczyk: an owner-run skip hire firm working out of Bankfield Farm at Mickle Trafford, on Chester’s doorstep. We started it because the local skip market runs on “from” prices, surprise VAT and phone tag, and we think a skip should be as simple to buy as anything else: see the price, book it, pay when it lands.
That one idea, the price is the price, decides how the whole firm works. It is why the price list is on the website with nothing hidden behind a quote form. It is why we are honest that we are not VAT registered, which knocks a fifth off what a VAT-registered firm has to invoice for the same skip. And it is why, when something genuinely does cost more, heavy soil, a road permit, a sofa that has to travel the POPs route, we say so on the phone before you book, not on the invoice after.
We are a new name, and we would rather own that than fake a heritage badge. What you get from a firm at our stage is simple: the owners answering the phone, delivery slots that have not been sold three times over, and a company whose reputation rides on every single drop. The reviews will build the old-fashioned way, one skip at a time.

The price is the price
The figure on the website is the figure you pay on delivery. Delivery, hire and collection included, no VAT added, and the only possible extra, a council permit for road placement, is passed on at the council's own fee.
You talk to the owners
Ring the number and you get one of us, not a call centre reading a screen. The person who quotes your job is the person responsible for it turning up.
Local means local
Every skip leaves Bankfield Farm at Mickle Trafford, ten minutes from Chester. We publish the drive times, because a genuinely local yard is the reason we can do quick turnarounds and honest prices.
Waste goes the right way
Every load is tipped at a licensed transfer station for sorting and recycling. As a licensed waste carrier, that is a legal duty; publishing it is a choice.
The paperwork that matters
Skip hire is a licensed trade, and you should check any firm you use, ours included. Our waste carrier registration details are available on request and will be published here, verifiable on the Environment Agency’s public register. Road placements come with the legal dressing, lights, markings, our name and number on the skip, and the council permit handled by us, as the permits guide explains.
Where we work
